Marking and Feedback Policy One Term Pilot – Reducing Workload, Maximising Progress Summary Target sheets are up to date in front of work book or folders, they include information on assessments and data drops. (Pupils should update books)

Marking and Feedback Policy One Term Pilot – Reducing Workload, Maximising Progress QUALITY MARKING Work is marked using stamp; this is known as Quality marking. This could include Assessment Piece/Exam or a detailed piece of work. Faculties to decide but could for example be built into scheme. This will be agreed with HOF. - 4/3 hours per week – 2 deep marks per half term (Minimum) - 2/1 hours per week – 1 deep mark per half term (Minimum)  Marking stamp is used and dated; teacher comments are helpful and personalised. Pupils respond to teacher's marking. There is Evidence that pupils are making progress over time. Key words are corrected as required. Pupils have followed up on teachers' comments e.g. complete work, correct spellings and there is evidence of improvement.

Marking and Feedback Policy One Term Pilot – Reducing Workload, Maximising Progress Feedback in the rest of the work/books is light touch – e.g. purple pen for self/peer/pupil marking/live marking – a general check to ensure presentation and basic standards etc. Homework should be set as appropriate to be agreed within the faculty – strategies will be used by HOF to ensure HW marking is minimised whilst progress is supported e.g. Doddle/My Maths/Quiz questions/reading/revising for tests. Scrutiny of the above will be undertaken through standard procedures as per Calendar (MAS)   Time Frame 1 - Autumn Term 2 - Send in comments re new marking – review with working group (use checklist) – report and changes if required. 3 - JRT to produce report/ agreement.
