Processor Trailer Storage 2017 Processor Trailer Storage Background The purpose of the Trailer Storage subsidy is to help assist Processors reduce the quantity of surplus scrap tires in Ontario by assisting with the financial costs of renting a trailer to store tires in the province . This feature will be offered from time to time as directed by OTS. Processors choosing to access this program are responsible for ensuring storage within all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. Eligibility for trailers placed into storage as of September 11, 2017 up to February 28, 2018. Processors interested in obtaining a subsidy for a trailer(s) must place a request with OTS (refer to slide 4) and execute an Addendum to the Processor Agreement - Temporary Shred Storage. Subsidy will be $10/a day per trailer

Processor Trailer Storage 2017 Requesting a Trailer Storage Send an email to info@rethinktires.ca Subject: Trailer Storage Request. Your email must include the following details: Registration Number Trailer VIN Number(s) Trailer Size (ft) Trailer Reference Number (if applicable) Material Type in each trailer (On Road Shred or Off Road Shred, or whole tires including tire types) Date of each Trailer placed into storage Attach First Set Printed Scale Tickets (Gross/Tare) Location of the Trailer (Address, City, Postal Code) Attach Completed Trailer Tire Storage Agreement OTS will reply via email, confirming the effective date of your trailer storage. Processor must submit weekly trailer storage summary report to OTS. OTS will require the report be submitted by 5 pm every Wednesday for storage activity from the preceeding week. This report must be sent to info@rethinktires.ca Subject: Weekly Summary- Trailer Storage. OTS will provide a Report template.

Processor Trailer Storage 2017 Important Notes: Trailers must be scaled when empty and then again when full, before placing them into storage and re-scaled when taking them out of storage. Each trailer must have a minimum of 10 tonnes of shred or whole tires VIN Numbers must be clearly visible in order to identify the trailers. Scale Tickets must be printed and have the date and time. Trailers are to hold full loads of either On Road Shred, Off Road Shred or whole tires that were already delivered on a PTR transaction. Material Types cannot be mixed in the trailer (whole tires and shred must be separated) Trailers coming out of storage must be completely empty in order to reuse the trailer VIN. Trailers must be accessible to OTS staff at any time. Trailer Subsidy payment will be applied to the Processor’s following claim period. Weekly reports must be submitted as directed by OTS or subsidy payments may be denied. The reports are to confirm that approved trailers are still in storage or if they have come out of storage. OTS reserves the right to conduct random onsite inspections of trailers being subsidized Trailers will only be eligible for payment from the OTS-approved start date (no trailers in storage prior to September 11, 2017 are eligible) c

Processor Trailer Storage 2017 Subsidy Payment Adjustment Documentation Required: Trailer details along with scale tickets (trailers out of storage) must be submitted with the Processor claim. Participants are required to upload supporting documents to their claims summary. Approved subsidies will be applied to the Processor’s following claim period. Cancellation of Trailer Storage Subsidies OTS reserves the right to cancel the subsidies on any trailer(s) at any time at its sole discretion. ‘
