Emergency flip charts are readily available in: all teaching spaces, computer labs, science labs, meeting rooms, common rooms and foyers

TORNADO If you are under a tornado warning, seek shelter immediately! Most injuries associated with high winds are from flying debris, so remember to protect your head. Go to a pre-designated area such as a safe room, basement, or the lowest building level. If you are inside a building - keep clear of windows DO NOT PAUSE TO TAKE SELFIES!!!

Stay In Touch Communication in an Emergency are: Massey home page Massey Facebook and twitter PING POC : Clark Anderson Campus Health, Safety and Emergency Management Advisor ex 43885 During an emergency, Massey University will alert Staff and students primarily through the Massey Homepage. Facebook and twitter are also used. For campus specific geographic information ping4alerts! can be also utilised . The PING system is used to send alerts to members of the University community, including students. Using ping, Massey can send alerts directly to a student’s tablet or smartphones if they have installed the ping4alerts! app on their device.   To find out more about ping and download the app, head to www.massey.ac.nz/ping. Ping4alerts! works by sending alerts to users within a specific geographic location. Once you’ve downloaded the app, we recommend you make your campus a ‘watched location’. This way, should Massey issue an alert, you will receive the notification even if you are not physically located on the campus at that time. Instructions on how to set-up a watched location are provided at www.massey.ac.nz/ping.
