(Pastor / CONGREGATION) THE CALL TO WORSHIP (Pastor / CONGREGATION) Psalm 27:1,4,5 The Lord is my light and my salvation! WHOM SHALL I FEAR? The Lord is the strength of my life! OF WHOM SHALL I BE AFRAID? One thing I ask of the Lord; THIS IS WHAT I SEEK: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE;

TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE (American English Version) **THE OPENING HYMN - #597 TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE (American English Version) 1- Take my life and let it be, Consecrated, Lord, to You; Take my moments and my day, Let them flow in ceaseless praise, Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

At the impulse of Your love; Take my feet and let them be 2- Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of Your love; Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for You, Swift and beautiful for You. 3- Take my voice and let me sing Always, only for my King; Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from You, Filled with messages from You.

Not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use 4- Take my silver and my gold, Not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use Every power as You would choose, Every power as You would choose. 5- Take my love – my Lord, I pour At Your feet its treasure store; Take myself and I will be Ever, only, all for You; Ever, only, all for You.

THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON 1 Peter 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Fatherof our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, AND into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.

To reach out and touch Him, And say that we love Him; THE SONG OF RESPONSE #633 OPEN OUR EYES, LORD Open our eyes, Lord, We want to see Jesus, To reach out and touch Him, And say that we love Him; Open our ears, Lord, And help us to listen; We want to see Jesus. (Please Repeat)

A TIME OF SHARING WITH GOD’S CHILDREN OF ALL AGES

THE HOLY SCRIPTURE Luke 19:1-10   Jesus entered the city of Jericho and was passing through it. A man lived there whose name was Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was very rich. He was trying to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was short in stature. So Zacchaeus ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus, because Jesus was going to pass that way.

So Zacchaeus hurried down from the tree and was happy to welcome Jesus So Zacchaeus hurried down from the tree and was happy to welcome Jesus. All who saw this take place began to grumble and said, “Jesus has gone to be the guest of one who is a sinner.” Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Look, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much.”

Then Jesus said, “Today salvation has come to this house, because Zacchaeus , too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.”

THE SONG OF PREPARATION #513 Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul; Thank you, Lord, for making me whole; Thank you, Lord, for giving to me Thy great salvation so rich and free.

AN OLD SUNDAY SCHOOL SONG: Zacchaeus was a wee little man, a wee little man was he; He climbed up in a sycamore tree for the Lord he wanted to see. And as the Savior came that way He looked up in the tree. and He said: ZACCHAEUS, YOU COME DOWN !!! for I’m going to your house today; for I’m going to your house today.

Jesus called Zacchaeus BY NAME Isaiah 43:1 This is what the LORD says‑‑ He who created you and formed you, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you BY NAME and you are Mine.”

Luke 19:6 tells us about Zacchaeus’ RESPONSE. “So Zacchaeus hurried down from the tree and was happy to welcome Jesus.”

Luke 19:9 Jesus said, “Today SALVATION has come to this house”

OF GOD BEING GIVEN PRIOITY! THE FIRST EVIDENCE OF GOD BEING GIVEN PRIOITY! ZACCHAEUS WAS WILLING TO GIVE GOD FIRST PLACE IN HIS LIFE.   Matthew 23:12 - For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Luke 9:23 - If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

our fellow human beings says a lot about our relationship with God THE SECOND EVIDENCE OF GOD BEING GIVEN PRIOITY ZACCHAEUS ACKNOWLEDGED HIS SINS and HE WAS WILLING TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT with those whom he had wronged How we TREAT our fellow human beings says a lot about our relationship with God

1 John 4:10-11 This is love: not that we loved God, but that God loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Therefore, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 3:23 This is God’s command: To believe in his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us.

Will our relationship with God make a THE ACID TEST OF OUR SALVATION - - Will our relationship with God make a REAL AND VISIBLE DIFFERENCE  In our conduct?  In how we treat others?  In our choices?  In our priorities?

The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s Prayer OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN.

THE CLOSING HYMN #670 ‘MAKE ME A BLESSING’

Out in the highways and byways of life, many are weary and sad; Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife making the sorrowing glad. Make me a blessing, Out of my life May Jesus shine; Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray, Make me a blessing to someone today.

Tell the sweet story of Christ and His love; Tell of His pow'r to forgive; Others will trust Him if only you prove true ev'ry moment you live. Make me a blessing, Out of my life May Jesus shine; Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray, Make me a blessing to someone today.

Give as was given to you in your need; Love as the Master loved you; Be to the helpless a helper indeed; Unto your mission be true. Make me a blessing, Out of my life May Jesus shine; Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray, Make me a blessing to someone today.
