Press Conference – Intercontinental Hotel Summary Boehringer Ingelheim, Ashoka, Access Afya, and PharmAccess Foundation, today held a press conference to launch ‘Akiba ya Roho’ an outreach, screening, management and micro-savings program aimed to drive awareness, understanding and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) The event was attended by 16 journalists from Tier 1 media such as Business Daily, Daily Nation, The Standard, NTV among others and graced by teams from Boehringer Ingelheim, Ashoka, Access Afya, and PharmAccess Foundation. The press event was addressed by Dr. Eduardo Lioy, of Boehringer Ingelheim who has worked as an Executive in Residence in Kenya for the Program development, Margaret Kiplagat, Chief of Staff at Access Afya, as well as Millicent Olulo, Country Director from PharmAccess Foundation. The media also got time to do a Q & A session with the speakers
