Global: Top 10 CE Specialists’ Banner Sales, 2006e-2011e (USD bn) Sector Overview Despite a time period characterised by a global economic crisis, the majority of the leading consumer electronics (CE) specialists have grown significantly between 2006 and 2011. Those retailers with a presence in emerging markets, particularly Asia, have shown the steepest growth. Global: Top 10 CE Specialists’ Banner Sales, 2006e-2011e (USD bn) 3.6% China’s Suning and US-based Apple have seen the most success comparatively despite two very different approaches to retailing.
