Rendering tools in 3DMax The basic way to render in 3D Max is by using two tools: render scene and quick render. Render scene is the primary toolbar which enables you to render in different styles.

Texture mapping Materials make objects and shapes look real in a 3D environment. Objects can have color, texture, specularity, transparency and reflectivity, and more. Explore many of the different shaders and materials the can be combined for some very unique and realistic textures.

Using the UV tools The primary reason to use UV tools is to correct distortion on 3D models, but you can get some interesting effects and looks by experimenting with the coordinates. Remember that UVW correspond to XYZ.

Using UVW Mapping tool The UVW mapping editor analyzes and displays the textures you are using on an object. You can control how you want the mesh to fit your model.
