Filipino Food Filipino Cuisine what will you eat at Merienda? Filipino Cuisine is one of the richest cuisines in the world. This is because of the different influences to the country throughout its long and colorful history. Filipino Cuisine – The Main Meals: Generally, the Filipinos have three main meals, the typical breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an afternoon snack, called merienda. Filipino Cuisine – Breakfast: Usually for breakfast, there is the typically rice or fried rice (garlic rice) and the usual breakfast dish of tapas . Filipino Cuisine – Lunch: For lunch, the typical Filipino dish is rice with a particular dish. Lunch for the Filipinos is like a feast. They usually enjoy the special sinigang, adobo and kare-kare. Of course there are also other cuisines like ones cooked in coconut milk. Filipino Cuisine – Dinner: For dinner, there is the typical seafood cuisine. Since the Philippines have a rich supply of sea food, there is plenty of choice to enjoy. Filipino Cuisine – Merienda: For merienda, there are the ones made from root crops, such as the banana-cue or sweetened banana on a stick, camote cue or sweetened camote (sweet potato) on sticks, cassava, yams, taro on coconut meat.

Philippines’ Religion The Philippines proudly boasts to be the only Christian nation in Asia. More than 86 percent of the population is Roman Catholic, 6 percent belong to various nationalized Christian cults, and another 2 percent belong to well over 100 Protestant denominations

The Best Places Tubbataha Reef: The Tubbataha Reef in the Sulu Sea is a marine sanctuary protected as the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park. The reef is made up of two atolls, North Atoll and South Atoll, separated by a deep channel of approximately 5 miles (8 km) wide. San Agustin Church, Manila: Located in Manila, a visit to the San Agustin Church is a must see. Built in 1589, this beautiful church has survived seven earthquakes and two fires over the centuries and now remains as the oldest stone church in the Philippines. Mayon Volcano: Rising more than 8,000 feet (2,400 meters) above sea level, Mayon Volcano is significant for its perfectly symmetrical cone shape. Visitors can enjoy a number of activities here such as camping, climbing, hiking, bird watching and photography. Malapascua Island: A small island made up of quiet fishing villages, Malapascua Island is popular for its ideal diving spots and for being the only place in the world to see thresher sharks on a regular basis as well as manta rays and hammerheads. Puerto Galera: Just south of Manila is the charming coastal town of Puerto Galera, well-favored for its gorgeous beaches, excellent diving spots and wide diversity of marine species. Puerto Princesa: Located on the northern coast of the island of Palawa, Puerto Princesa is a nature lover’s paradise. Donsol: Located in the province of Sorsogon, a place of pristine beaches, stunning waterfalls and unexplored caves, the sleepy fishing village of Donsol is the place in the Philippines to see whale sharks. Chocolate Hills: One of the top tourist attractions in the Philippines, The Chocolate Hills are unusual geological formations that consists of at least 1,268 individual mounds scattered throughout the interior of the island of Bohol Boracy: Boracay may be a small island, but it packs great features such as award-winning beaches, beautiful resorts and great adventures like cliff diving, parasailing, motorbiking, horse riding, snorkeling, kite surfing and scuba diving.

Philippines’ Animals The ‘Monkey-eating’ eagle, it is one of the largest in the world. This amazing creature has a highly arched and powerful bill – giving it the ability to chomp its way through civet cats, flying lemurs and, as the name suggests, even monkeys.  The Kagwang. Although the flying lemur has wings, it can only glide for about 100 yards in a single leap. The truly unique Philippine Tarsier: Noted as one of the smallest primates on earth, the Tarsier is unique in so many ways it’s simply amazing. The Bamboo Bat: The Philippines is home to an amazing 56 species of bats, even after a number of types have already become extinct. The Mouse Deer of Balabac Island: The world’s smallest hoofed animal, the Philippines Mouse Deer is found on Balabac Island in the furthest southern reaches of Palawan. The Palawan Bearcat – a most unique type of Civet Cat: Natives call this creature the binturong, others call it the Malay Civet Cat – and it’s actually a bear, not a cat at all. The Calamian deer of northern Palawan: The “hog deer” is the only breed of its kind in the world The Whale Shark – The world’s biggest fish: The Whale Shark, or as the natives call it butanding, is one of the mightiest creatures of the sea.

7 Days tour Day 1: Take an International flight from your place straight to the NAIA Terminal in Manila. DAY 4: Early morning on the next day prepare for your return trip to the main island of Manila. DAY 5 & DAY 6: The next trip early in the morning about 4 hours will be on a ferry boat going to Camiguin island. Once in Camiguin, you can start visiting the main tourists' spots at noon, and end up the day at the Ardent Hot Springs.
