Bloomboard: Uploading Files Ali Boa

Goals Today you will: Learn how to upload files to Bloomboard’s site Learn where to upload your files on the site Learn how to add your supporting documents to Bloomboard for your Mid-Year Conference Start uploading your files

Getting Started Go to bloomboard.com and login with your school email.

Click “Observations & Meetings”

Click “Artifacts” to add your files.

Click “upload a video” or “upload a document” depending on what you want to upload.

What type of files can I upload? Here are the files you can upload to artifacts: Word documents (This is the preferable format, since it is possible to tag individual words, sentences, and sections to individual indicators. Formatting doesn't always transfer perfectly, though.) PDF documents (This is the preferable format if you want the formatting to transfer perfectly in the upload.) JPEG files Excel documents PNG files PowerPoint presentations *Note, you can’t upload a file with a dash in it; I haven’t tried with other special characters, but would guess they might interfere with your upload Portable Network Graphics (PNG), is a raster graphics file format that supports lossless data compression. PNG was created as an improved, non-patented replacement for Graphics Interchange Format (GIF), and is the most used lossless image compression format on the Internet.

Once you’ve uploaded… STEP 1 STEP 2

Open Supporting Documents

If you haven’t uploaded an artifacts to your portfolio, choose this option. If you’ve uploaded your docs to your portfolio, select from dropdown here

Find document, click upload

Doc will load on its own; don’t click close Doc will load on its own; don’t click close! Dialogue box will close when upload is complete

What should I upload? Support for your IAGDs Here are a few recommendations: Excel file with data from baseline and growth (or wherever you’re keeping track) Rubric(s) you’re using to assess student growth Assessments you’ve used to track student growth Student samples

What should I upload? Support for your Domain 5 Goals would create a “Domain 5 Document” and include blurbs about what you do for professional development, extracurricular activities, PLC contributions, and if applicable, district level contributions (if you serve on a committee, etc.) Parent communication I included a positive email conversation with a parent Student communication I included an essay with my feedback

The teacher is an active and contributing member of a Professional Learning Community. 5c - Communication: The teacher proactively communicates with students and families in ways that are culturally respectful and sensitive, to ensure ongoing awareness of student progress and challenges. The teacher understands the legal rights of students with disabilities, their families, within the intervention, referral, and individualized educational plan process. The teacher uses communication technology in a professional and ethical manner, in keeping with school and district regulations.

Domain 5 continued 5d - Conduct: Teachers conduct themselves as professionals in accordance with Connecticut’s Code of Professional Responsibility for Educators. The teacher demonstrates honesty, ethical behavior, good judgment, accuracy, punctuality, and an awareness of the importance of the teacher’s regular attendance on student achievement. 5e – Contributions
