Copyright law The law is in place to stop members of the pubic to make illegal copies of anyone else work. You wouldn’t able to get a version of software without any licence. Otherwise the version of software you have, will NOT work. When buying software they have now only let the disc be installed on certain amounts of computers. This is to stop the amount of people who think they can get away with buying a new disc to get more licences for more computers. However now you can get discs with a single user, multiple user and then a site licences for more then several computers and you are able now to get a educational licence. And it may work out cheaper. You can accesses freeware off the internet such as paint.net, you don’t have to pay for it as the company who created the program is letting the public use it for free. Another one someone may not have even known, when uploading a music video or even a piece of music, you would need to reference it by saying who the song is sung by When you see this symbol, then it states that the file/website is registered with copyright.
