Consent Written consent documented for all excisions and open procedures Verbal consent for all injections
Histology Histology sent on all 16 open procedures - all coded No unexpected histology 2 cancers 1squamous cell carcinoma – elderly patient – diagnosed clinically – not fit for secondary care referral – discussed with dermatology – complete excision 1 basal cell carcinoma – on back – diagnosed clincially – patient declined referral and requested excision in practice – complete excision on histology.
Complications One minor wound infection post excision of sebaceous cyst Settled with oral antibiotics – no additional visits or input needed No complications reported following injections
Conclusion Continued low rate of complications No unexpected histology
