Juniors: Week of December 5-9, 2016 The Founding of the United States: What do the documents tell us about our roots? Final Week of the Unit and Semester

Bellwork: Monday, December 5, 2016 PERIOD 2: Find this Bellwork from last week… I believe it has a reindeer stamp. “List at least five grievances against the King of England that led the colonists to declare independence.” Have you seen any of your grievances play out in the movie The Patriot? If so, highlight them and describe the situation in the movie. If not, return to your text and write down three more grievances that you HAVE seen enacted in the movie.

Bellwork: Monday, December 5, 2016 PERIOD 7: List at least five grievances against the King of England that led the colonists to declare independence.

Classwork: Monday, December 5, 2016 Finish watching the film The Patriot As you are watching, remember to take note of events that occur in the film that relate to the two speeches by Patrick Henry and Benjamin Franklin and the Declaration of Independence.

Closure: Monday, December 5, 2016 Write down what you think your English grade currently is. If you are failing, what can you do to pass? If you feel that you will not pass, tell me why. If you have a passing grade, what must you do in the next two weeks to maintain it? Finally, tell me how you feel about your performance this semester in English class.
