Picking Perfect Partners: Collaborations Within and Outside Technical Services Mary S. Konkel Head of Technical Services College of DuPage Library konkel@cod.edu image: articuweb.wordpress.com ALCTS IG Role of the Professional in Technical Services ALA Midwinter January 21, 2017

Overview image: cyprus-mail.com The Internet and library systems and software have provided greater efficiencies within technical services. In addition, the shifting of human resources to meet the growing demand for additional staff in public services has contributed to the rightsizing of technical services departments. In order to do “more with less”, finding partners to collaborate on projects has been essential. These partnerships have also provided valuable cross-training opportunities.
