Absolute location – a specific spot on Earth, sometimes expressed using latitude and longitude. Relative location – Where a place is located in relation to another place or places.

Latitude – an imaginary line that measures a location’s distance north or south of the equator. Longitude – an imaginary line that measures how far east or west a location is from the prime meridian. Equator - imaginary line on Earth’s surface that divides Earth evenly between the north and south poles. Prime Meridian – the 0° of longitude that divides Earth into Eastern and Western Hemispheres.

Time Zone – is a segment of the worldwide system for standardizing time. International Date Line – imaginary line, located mainly at the 180° meridian, that marks the divide where the date changes by one day.
