Other Types of Rain Forests Montane = Grows on mountainsides, rain turns to mist because of cooler air. Temperate = Along west coast on North America. Get more 15 feet of rain a year.

Negative Effects of Man to the Rain Forest Clearing of trees. Raising cattle on rain forest land. Trees can not re-grow. Trees cut for lumber. Roads are built through the rain forest. Mines and Dams are built.
