Presentation transcript:

LISA R BONDEZI FOR MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER I’m a current Biomedical-Science student who absolutely loves science. Having grown up in Zimbabwe l got the opportunity to help out at a local church and the positive impact this had in the community made me appreciate the impact that volunteers make. This encouraged me to volunteer at a local multicultural society; a hospice and a care home from which I attained invaluable knowledge. The experience from this helped me attain a job as a support worker, which has massively developed my empathetic, organization and creative skills.  Volunteering has been a key part of my Uni experience and l want to give back to Warwick Volunteers. As a member of Project shine, Warwick volunteers and external societies I have developed a great understanding of how the volunteering process works. The amazing work that was implemented by the previous exec needs to be continued by someone that is extremely dedicated to encourage both progress and participation and I feel l am that individual. This has driven me to want to work on behalf of the students as the media and communications officer. IDEAS To intergrade Warwick Volunteers to other social medias. Work towards allowing and encouraging more communication and support between the students of the University, the exec and Warwick volunteers. Work on allowing more frequent training opportunities to certain societies and clubs. With achievable goals I can implement more student activities encouraging a better experience when volunteering.
