Asthma Texting Program HealthCrowd has led the mobile health messaging market with the mission to positively impact 100 million lives by 2020 with an emphasis on underserved populations. Partnership with SFHP began in 2012 with the launch of the diabetes texting campaign Nearly 400 members have enrolled with less than 25% opt-out rate High member satisfaction and better control of their diabetes (self-reported through periodic survey questions)

Asthma Texting Program SFHP is developing a new asthma texting program with HealthCrowd to be launched March 2016 Pediatric Adult Regular, Holidays, Educational, Survey, Keyword Alerts Integrating incentive information Integrating our Member Services information Potentially integrating local, seasonal messaging Available in our Medi-Cal threshold languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese Also available in Russian for our Healthy Workers Members can opt-in and opt-out at anytime We are integrating our ACT incentive into the texting program. I’ll show you an example in a later slide. Although the program is created in an calendar year schedule, members can opt-in at any time, we initiate regular and educational messages at the ‘start’ of the curriculum, and initiate holiday/seasonal/survey as appropriate for the time of the year. So if a member opted in early December, we’d start with welcome and educational message #1, but then launch winter holiday messages

Opt-In via online form or incentive form Asthma Texting Program Opt-In via online form or incentive form English Chinese Spanish Russian Vietnamese We are creating secure online opt-in forms translated in our threshold languages, but members can also opt-in via the ACT incentive form. The opt-in on the incentive form is under provider signature so provider can also initiate dialog to see if texting is appropriate for the member.

Asthma Texting Program Adult sample Sample welcome message Sample educational message (also have healthy lifestyle tips, avoiding artificial scents tips, how to use a peak flow meter) Sample seasonal, interactive message (also have summer swimming/chlorine, flu season tips)
