Work in groups. Each groups works as a family and they are making a family plan for a holiday. Each of the family has his own idea about where to spend the holiday, so all the members have to discuss together to see whether they can make some compromise and come up with a plan that all will agree on. Procedure: 1) Each student will be given a card telling him or her the role to play in the family. 2) The family members introduce themselves, without revealing their task. 3) Ask the father to open the family discussion. 4) Several groups will role play in front of the class.

The father Your idea of a holiday is something relaxing, short and cheap. Going abroad is so tiring. You like your brother very much—why not take him and his wife, too?
