Meet Michigan Chapter 4: Lesson 4 Do you remember what you read?

It was cheap in Michigan. 3. Land was expensive in Michigan but the settlers knew it would be profitable in the future. 4. But, now that the Erie Canal was built, people came to visit and ended up staying. 2. The settlers heard the Native Americans were driven out of Michigan. So, they knew more land was available. 4. The land became more expensive and it was dangerous to travel. But, they could travel the Erie Canal now even though they didn’t plan to buy land. 3. Until now, it was dangerous to travel.
