Workbook p. 19

Workbook p. 20 (Bellwork)

Infinitives: textbook p. 64 Look at the list of infinitives in the first paragraph on p. 64 (words in bold). What do they end with? Infinitives have no subject pronoun because they simply state the meaning of the verb. Put an infinitive after “J’aime…” or “Tu aimes…”, etc. An infinitive translates as “to verb”

Recognizing infinitives: p. 64 Activity 14 Write down all the –er infinitives in the list

Recognizing Infinitives: French Dictionary Use your phone to find a French dictionary online (website or app) Partner with someone if you don’t have a phone List on your whiteboard 6 verbs you would like to know in French that you haven’t learned yet. Look each one up in your dictionary. Write down the INFINITIVE VERB form of each word you look up. It must end in –ER, -IR, or –RE to be an infinitive. Ex. I looked up “Knit” at http://www.wordreference.com/
