The Problem…Congestion of SR-224 and SR-248 during Peak Periods and Events Solutions…centered around Projects and Services developed using the common “Strategic Goals” - A transportation system that connects people to jobs, services and communities…limit infrastructure to that necessary to support improved transit and other alternative modes of transportation

Transportation Sales Tax Initiative Project List 2017 - 2019 Entity Project Title Description 2017 2018 2019 Summit County Jeremy Ranch Interchange/Intersection Improvement Project Reduce congestion and provide expedited traffic movement of Transit to Park and Ride Facilities. Also improves pedestrian access through I-80 corridor. Includes pedestrian underpass at I-80 ramps.   $ 3,139,400 Ecker Park & Ride Provide Transit alternative to driving through congestion on SR-224. Express Transit (10 min frequency will connect to Kimball and Park City. Included pedestrian underpass to Ecker Middle School. $ 925,000 $ 1,385,000 Park City SR-248 Corridor and Safety Improvement Project Widening to provide HOV/Bus and Bike Lanes, Intersection Improvements, Access Management and Pedestrian Tunnel at High School. $ 175,000 $ 3,915,000 Kilby Road Widening, Ecker to Jeremy Ranch Improve access to Ecker Park and Ride to allow for improved transit access and other alternative modes of transportation. FHWA would not grant access to Park and Ride from I-80. $ 3,460,000 Basin Wayfinding Program Create a multi-modal system enabling people to orient and navigate efficiently. Will reduce vehicle miles traveled. $ 200,000 Transportation Demand Management E-Bike, vanpools, Incentives to reduce vehicle miles traveled and single occupancy vehicles $ 500,000 Summit County E-Bike Share Provide viable and affordable alternative transportation mode.
