Homework choice menu Homework number 1 2 3 4 5 6 Below are all the tasks that you can choose from each time the homework is set. As the tasks go from left to right they get more difficult. You may choose to complete any of the tasks in any order but you must choose at least 2 Futurist tasks and 1 Dada task from the menu at some point. You will have to pick a total of 6 tasks from this menu. Each task completed well will gain house points for you. Tick them off when completed. Print out examples of two different super hero's. For each hero explain who they are, their powers/weaknesses, what they do and why you like them. Typography design. Using bold and creative typography create the name of your comic. Name 5 current graphic designers. Show examples of each of their work and explain why you like each. You could look at ‘dribbble’ website as a starting point. Creative writing. Write a 500 word short story to explain how your hero's and villains came in to being. Try to be as creative as you can. You could also illustrate your story. Branding yourself. Design a logo and typography that reflect your personality. Use images and colours that show who you are. Construct a model of a famous, iconic building or landmark. Illustration. For a comic or graphic novel design the opening sequence in the style of a story board. Use labeled diagrams, screen shots and detailed information to produce an instruction booklet called ‘How to use Photo Shop’. The booklet must be suitable for year 7 students, be easy to follow, bright and bold. Print out 2 examples of mugs with creative designs on them. Evaluate each using the questions and keywords provided by your teacher. For a design movement of your choice create an A4 sized mood board of images. Add notes to explain how each image reflects your chosen design movement. For a design movement of your choice. Create a power point presentation to explain the emergence of the movement, they key elements and why you like it. Use notes and images. Minimum 7 slides. Print out an example of your favourite designers work. Explain why this is your favourite piece. Using this example as a starting point create your own design in the style of your chosen designer.
