America Under Seige Louis G. Hulsey August 7, 2011

The U.S. In Trouble Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The most casual observer can see that America is in trouble. I do not presume to outline the state of the union, but to make some simple observations that most people already see.

The Economy In the 1950’s one man with his wife at home could feed a family of 5 or 6 and afford to take a vacation every year. Today most families struggle to pay the bills with all the adults in the family working. Our money has been devalued by inflation. This week the U.S. lost its triple A credit rating which means interest rates may rise.

Natural Disasters This year climatologists say that the Central Texas corridor will experience 15 or 20 years of prolonged drought conditions . In the past few years the U.S. has experienced the most devastating hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and fires in our history. We know that plagues and drought were direct results of the sins of the people of Israel. Jeremiah 3:2-3

Failing Social System Marriage has almost gone out of style. Children are disjointed from their parents. Our nation is cursed with a curse. Malachi 4:5-6, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6, And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

The Time of Harvest This is not time to go into survival mode . It is time to reap the greatest revival of this century so far.

It is Time To Pray Earnestly To Serve Diligently To Tithe Faithfully To Speak Boldly

The Council of Heaven Do you have influence in Washington? Do you have influence in heaven? Jeremiah 23:22, “But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.”

The Council of Heaven We are seated in heavenly places so we can influence heaven for the benefit of earth. What Will We Do? Pray Earnestly (James 5:16-18) Love Fervently (Ephesians 5:25) Serve Diligently ( Galatians 5:13) Tithe Faithfully (Malachi 3:8-12) Witness Boldly (Matthew 28:19)
