General Transfer Policy Coursework is evaluated on a course-by-course basis for the appropriate UWG equivalent. A 1000-2000 level course cannot be awarded a 3000-4000 level course equivalent. This applies to both direct UWG equivalents and elective course equivalents A 3000-4000 level course may be awarded a 1000-2000 level course, especially in the instance it aligns with a core course Possible equivalents are: SUBJ 0XXX-No Credit SUBJ 1XXX, 2XXX, 3XXX, or 4XXX-Elective Direct UWG equivalent (Ex: ENGL 1101)

General Transfer Policy A maximum 90 academic hours may be transferred. Additional 30 hours of correspondence and extension coursework. Credit by exam (AP/CLEP) Military Maximum of 6 hours in applied music/ensemble courses for non-music majors

General Transfer Policy Courses accepted for transfer credit must have a “C” average. Grades of D in ENGL 1101, 1102, courses designated as major courses, or professional courses in education are not awarded credit. Grades of “D” are awarded credit as long as the average of all earned hours is a 2.00 Provided all other stipulations are met.

General Transfer Policy All quarter hours are converted to semester hours. Multiply quarter hours by 2/3 to get semester hours. EX: 5 quarter hours equals 3.33 semester hours. Multiply semester hours by 1.5 to get quarter hours. EX: 2 quarters hours equals 3 semester hours. The Transfer GPA includes all courses completed that are used to fulfill degree requirements at regionally accredited institutions of higher education. This includes repeats, grades of “F”, courses that are not transferable. Courses are not included in GPA if they are not college-level (learning support / developmental), or are at the diploma/certificate level EX: Practical Nursing or Cosmetology

General Transfer Policy Only awarded if required for degree program (College of Education) Cannot be applied towards academic hours May be awarded for classification purposes PWLA or PE courses

Transfer Credits in Wolf Watch New students generally will not have access to Wolf Watch until after they are enrolled. Once access is received, transfer coursework will be loaded into Wolf Watch. Each transfer course will show the UWG equivalent, the previous institution course number, and the institution at which the course was completed. Courses not applied to degree requirements may fall to the bottom under “Potential Electives” or “Courses Cannot Be Applied to Degree”. IP courses will take precedent in fulfilling areas over courses already earned.
