,, LASCAR ROSETTI ’’ HIGHSCHOOL RADUCANENI , COUNTY OF IASI ROMANIA
YESTERDAY....... Our school has defined its personality based on historical arguments and documentation, adopting the name of High School "Lascar Rosetti’’. Lascar Rosetti , boyar Lascarache as he was called by the acquaintances, began in 1847 a school building (between the first schools of its kind in the region so called Moldavia), located near the mansion, said today arhitectural monument. The both buildings exist nowadays. The Lascarache school had "two spacious classrooms and opened its doors to children in 1850 ,October 1. Between 1910-1912 , the Hebrew community being very large , extent the building of a local primary school, at the initiative of F.Zinger trader , a school with three classrooms and an office for the teachers. The teaching was in Yiddish, with Hebrew teachers, but in Romanian school also with Romanian teachers too (the building still exists today).
In 1962, due to the large number of secondary school graduates who wanted to continue their education in the village, the Răducăneni school became Realistic-Humanistic School, which has classes between I to XII th degree. Since 1978, our educational institution became Agroindustrial as a vocational school , our students were trained in trades like : mechanical machinery for land reclamation , building structures, welder, locksmith, etc.. Since 1992, our school received the theoretical profile, with the current name , ,,LASCAR ROSETTI ‘’HIGHSCHOOL with specialization profiles: realistic (natural sciences) and humanistic (literature and social sciences). Since 2003 in our school are trained students in IPT also, Construction and Public Works and Agriculture, which was implemented the EUROPEAN PROGRAMME Phare TVET 2005-Economic and Social Cohesion . Since 2009 , we offer to our students the technological chain for the qualification: Plumber technician and Animal husbandry technician .
.....Nowadays “ Lascar Rosetti ” high school from Raducaneni is a complex rural educational institution as it comprises different levels of education : kindergarten ( from three to six years old children) , primary school (1st to 4th grade), gymnasium (5th to 8th grade) , high school (9th to 12th grade), technological school (9th to 12th grade) .
A problem the community in Raducaneni has to face is related to the parents who leave their children in their relatives ‘care in order to go abroad to work and get money for a better life. Because of this children belonging to these families usually face emotional problems which also affects their school and personal life .
Among the pupils of our school, there are also children at risk of social exclusion mostly belonging to rroma families (gypsies) where lack of money , education and social integration have a great influence on the development of their children and consequently on their school life. Most of them fail to complete their gymnasium studies . Only few of them graduate high school and a small percent of them goes to college/faculty .
In spite of all this problems some pupils of our school have to face, very many of them have good school results , take part in competitions of all kinds proving their skills and talent. Many of them are good at drawing, painting, singing, playing different instruments, dancing, writing, art proving to be a way of escaping tough reality , of self valorization and also a path to regain their own self-esteem out of their families. All their extracurricular activities finally leading to their own self development . A society with people who gained their self-esteem and developed their skills is one which gained its own self-worth and consequently its right place in this world.
