Top tip for getting a good job.. Experience within a working environment prior to graduation Talk to your employers prior to even applying If you can go on a placement year go for it! Speak to people already working within the company and try to gain inside knowledge Always have a back up plan

Placement Year Office for National Statistics as a Research Officer 51 week placement which was extended for 3 months over the summer Mortality Statistics – gruesome as it sounds very interesting! Helps in final year originally 2:2 achieved 2:1! Provided me with inside knowledge about the civil service Provided me with Dissertation data so it was a topic I had personal interest in not just on a list

Applying for jobs Apply early between September and January prior to graduation Speak to lecturers and ex students to make sure your applying for the right jobs for you Use the UWE website to practice graduate scheme tests they are harder than you think!
