Presentation transcript:

Development of Methodology for Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Decommissioning Waste Management Scenarios Decommissioning costing in relation to the waste management: Application of International Structure for Decommissioning Costing (ISDC) of Nuclear Installations: separate chapter for calculation and presenting the waste management costs respecting the IAEA waste classification eOMEGA decommissioning costing tool: integrating the 15 years of costing experience of company DECOM flexible, open, transparent, modern and user-friendly environment accessible via internet eOMEGA - calculation of costs for waste management: unit cost factors approach unique system simulating the material and radioactivity flow in the decommissioning material items are traceable from its generation up to final release to the environment or disposal in the radioactive waste repository nuclide vectors, relevant distribution coefficients, limits (waste acceptance criteria) and radioactive decay of nuclides are applied material (waste) streams respect the IAEA radioactive waste classification Future vision - develop a separate module within eOMEGA platform for optimisation of the overall waste management strategy (several facilities being in operation or in decommissioning)
