Colonial America Research Report INTRODUCING… Colonial America Research Report A 5th Grade Project

Learning Outcome: Research and report about some aspect of life in Colonial America.

FINAL PRODUCT?? INFORMATIONAL POSTER A fancy, dandy, spiffy, perfectly nifty… INFORMATIONAL POSTER

POSSIBLE TOPICS TO CHOOSE FROM Your family business (blacksmithing, etc.) Daily life in the home (cooking, leisure activities, living conditions, illness and medicine, etc.) Transportation (horses,ships, etc.) Schooling, apprenticeships Politics, laws and crime Anything else that interests you!

What will your poster look like? It will be a masterpiece of information and creative design. It will also look like this: Title Information Picture I I=Interesting Facts Free Choice

Poster details, part 1 The Title Triangle: Title of report written in your own handwriting Colorful and creative Can be any style of writing Your first and last name

Poster details, part 2 The Information Triangle: Information written in a PARAGRAPH format Excellent information showing your learning Must be typed -12 or 14 font -Double or single spaced-you choose depending on space needs.

Poster details, part 3 Picture/Visuals Triangle Show visuals relating to your topic Use any medium you like (drawing, stamping, fabric art, samples of crafts) Any drawings should be done a separate paper, neatly cut out, and glued to your poster so there are no mistakes. Be creative! Be Authentic to the time!

Poster details, part 4 Free Choice Triangle Just like it says, you may choose your topic for this section. Consider this another opportunity for a creative way to show your learning.
