NOVA’s Profile 9 academic units – 5 faculties, 3 institutes, 1 national school Subjects – exact sciences, engineering, biology, applied technology in chemistry and biology, medicine, including tropical medicine, public health, economics and management, law, applied statistics and information management 197 degrees in the three Bologna cycles covering all the above mentioned subjects Competitive research both at national and international level 17 000 students 1 400 teachers, 79% PhD 131 researchers with PhD 800 non academic staff 50% budget from own revenues, including the national scientific funding
