Two Iowa Officers Killed

Two police officers were killed in two separate ambush shootings near Des Moines, Iowa. The first officer was killed shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning after responding to an incident where shots were fired. Authorities said the officer, still seated in a squad car, was found dead at the scene. About 20 minutes later, a Des Moines police officer found another officer from the same department dead at a nearby intersection. The second officer, just like the first, also was seated in his patrol vehicle. The suspect, who has not yet been identified, is still at large.

In Other News There will be a Game 7 in the World Series. Game 7 is Wednesday in Cleveland, with first pitch scheduled for 8:08 p.m. Starting for the Indians will be Corey Kluber, who will try to win his third game this series. He'll face Chicago's Kyle Hendricks, who had a no decision in Game 3. The Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908, the longest drought in baseball. The Indians currently have the second-longest dry spell, last winning in 1948. The 174 combined seasons between titles for the two clubs is the most in World Series history. The latest ABC News/The Washington Post poll showed Trump barely edging Clinton among likely voters, 46%-45%. Support for Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson, meanwhile has fallen to a new low, according to the poll, plunging to just 3% nationwide. Green Party candidate Jill Stein is at 2%. However, Clinton still leads Trump in the CNN Poll of Polls, an average of the five most recent national phone polls, including Tuesday's ABC/WaPo tracking survey, 46%-42%. It is also unclear how these polls impact the electoral vote. Eagles wide receiver/kick returner Josh Huff was arrested on the Walt Whitman Bridge Tuesday morning. Huff was stopped at approximately 11 a.m. heading to New Jersey for speeding. Huff in his possession had a gun, loaded magazine and less than 50 grams of marijuana. The lead charge is for unlawful possession of a weapon and prohibited weapons/devices for hollow point bullets. He's also charged for having the marijuana and faces traffic offenses for DUI, speeding and, because the windows of his vehicle are tinted, obstructed view.
