Welcome to Women’s Lacrosse Fouls Note to trainer: When you give an example of a foul or violation, give the simplest example and not all the exceptions and alternate situations that may occur. (we will get to those when they grasp the simplest occurrence) Note to trainer: If the group is “more experienced” – you may want to include some of the more ‘involved’ applications. Welcome to Women’s Lacrosse Fouls

Team Fouls Offside called on offense or defense “Hint”: To see if offside occurs, check to see if there are less than 4 offensive players and/or less than 4 defensive field players + GK behind the restraining line. If there are 7 in the attacking end there must be how many behind the RL? What if there are 7 in the attacking end, 5 behind the RL and one GK? What is wrong here? Q/A: see notes
Team Fouls Early entry off the draw: offense or defense X X O O O X X If a player moves over the restraining line prior to possession being declared giving her team 4 players between the restraining lines, early entry is called.
