Introduction PETERBOROUGH HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER!!!

Peterborough Has So Much Potential!

Our History – Where was the plan? The Memorial Center The Evinrude Center. Our sports fields The YMCA Sir Sandford Fleming Recreation Complex Trent University.

Why The Need for Facilities? Our present facilities are tired. There is no plan – Spread out all over the city Training habits have changed We cant attract major events – Small venues, tired venues, hotel space. Our city needs the economic impact/spin offs Our young people are leaving. Fitness and health.

What are other cities doing? What I have learned in my travels. Recreational facilities are town halls. Community meeting places They create a safe environment and a general excitement to a city.
