Browses Browses provide a method of displaying some or all of a particular data set. QAD provides canned browses as well as providing a tools for you to create your own browses. A Browse can be a stand alone program or it can be attached to a field – also known as a drill down. A lookup can be attached to a field. It can return a value to a selected field.

Browses – Selection Criteria Click + to add another selection field
Browses – Selection Criteria Range allows the user to use the “From”/”To” functionality typical in a QAD Report.

Browses – Selection Criteria Toggle variable mode allows you to change your user entered criteria into system criteria. Date fields offer options such as “Today”, “Yesterday”, “Tomorrow” Number fields offer other number fields for comparison
Browses – Selection Criteria The last item in the field selection box is “Search for” If you select this field, it will search every field that is displayed in your browse for whatever criteria you enter, and highlight the results in yellow.

Browses Right-click on any field that is blue and it will lead you to other programs, and default in some basic information.

Understand the Fields within the Files to construct the output with Data Definitions document. Introduce any logic in the construction of the browse to ensure optimal performance for the user and the environment. Follow an SDLC-light policy for this process.
