Every sentences as a central verb, whether it is one or more words. That verb is called the simple predicate! A verb is an action word. Every sentence also has a noun or pronoun that the sentence is mostly about. It’s the noun or pronoun that does the action in the sentence –or gets linked to something else. That noun or pronoun is called the simple subject!
