Repetition / Polysyndeton

Definition Repetition (rep-i-tish-uhn) - a technique in which a sound, word, phrase, or line is repeated for effect or emphasis. Polysyndeton (pol-ee-sin-di-ton) - the repetition of conjunctions in close succession for rhetorical effect.
