BUTTERFLIES LIFE CYCLE AND SPECIES

QUESTION HOW WILL THE SPECIES AFFECT THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE BUTTERFLIES?

HYPOTHESIS If i change the species then it will affect how long the butterfly live by causing it to live longer or shorter

BACKROUND Most insects change their body form as they mature (direct development) in this kind of development, aminiature copy of the adult form hatches from the eggs. Some species of insects undergo direct development. most insect however, hatch as a form that is not like the adult. As it grows , the young insect changes to become more and more like its parents. Each of these changes is called a metamorphosis , if the metamorphosis into the adult stage form involves a series of gradual change, it is called incomplete metamorphsis

PROCEDURE PROCEDURE :Step 1-search up about our butterflies, step 2-gather pictures ,step 3-make a diagram

TRIANGLE BUTTERFLY THIS DISTINCTIVE SPECIES HAS ELONGATE,TRIANGULAR FOREWINGS AND STRIKING BANDS OF TURQUIOSE BLUE, INTERSPERED WITH VEINING,EXTENDING OVER BOTH PAIRS OF WINGS .THE BUTTERFLY IS ALSO CALLED THE COMMON BLUEBOTTLE. EARLYSTAGES-THE CATERPILLAR IS GREEN WITH THE YELLOW STRIPES ALONG ITS SIDES AND A FEW SHORT SPINES AT SPINES AT THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE BODY.IT FEEDS ON A VARIETY OF PLANTS,INCLUDING CAMPHOR LAUREL ( CINNAMOMUM ).DISTRIBUTION-COMMON FROM INDIA AND SRI LANKA TO CHINA,JAPAN,MALAYSIA,PAPUA NEW GUINEA,AND AUSTRALIA.

RED-BANDED PEREUTE THIS UNUSUAL BLACK PERID BUTTERFLY BELONGS TO A SMALL GENUS OF ABOUT TEN SPECIES,ALL CONFINED TO SOUTH AMERICA.IT CAN BE DISTINGUISHED BY ITS RELATIVELY LARGE SIZE,THE RED BAND ON THE FOREWING,AND THE BLUISH GRAY PATCH ON THE HINDWING, ALTHOUGH ALL OF THESE MARKINGS ARE VARIABLE IN EXTENT. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HINDWINGS LACKS THE BLUISH PATCH BUT HAS A SMALL RED SPOT AT THE BASE.THE SEXES LOOK SIMILAR. EARLY STAGES-THE CATERPILLAR AND FOOD PLANTS OF THIS SPECIES FEED ON PLANTS OF THE FAMILY LORANTHACEAE. DISTRIBUTION-WIDESREAD IN SOUTH AMERICA,FROM BRAZIL TO COLOMBIA.

TREE NYMPH THE LARGE WINGS OF THIS DELICATE BUTTERFLY ARE TRANSLUCENT GRAYISH WHITE,WITH DISTINCTIVE BLACK MARKINGS.THE WINGS ARE OFTEN SUFFUSED WITH YELLOW TOWARD THE BASE.LARGE TREE NYMPHS HAVE A SLOW,GLIDING FLIGHT,AND PREFER TO REMAIN JUST BELOW THE FOREST CANOPY.EARLY STAGES-THE CATERPILLAR IS VELVELTY BLACK, WITH NARROW.PALE YELLOW RINGS,AND RED SPOTS.THERE ARE FOUR PAIRS OF BLACK FILAMENTS RUNNING ALONG ITS BACK.IT FEEDS ON PARSONSIA ,CYNANCHUM ],AND TYLOPHORA. DISTRIBITION-FROM THAILAND TO MALAYSIA,THE PHILIPPINES,AND TAIWAN.IN MALAYSIA IT IS LARGELY COASTE ,IN MONGROVE SWAMPS.

CONCLUSION CONCLUSION-HOW LONG THE BUTTERFLY LIVES IT DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF THE BUTTERFLY ,THE SPECIES OF THE BUTTERFLY ,WHERE IT LIVES,AND WHAT TIME OF THE YEAR IT BECAME AN ADULT ,AND CLIMATE IF THE BUTTERFLY IS OF THE SMALLER VERSION IT WILL PROBABLY NOT LIVE AS LONG BUT IF IT IS A LARGER BUTTERFLY ,IT WILL LIVE LONGER.BUTTERFLY: USUALLY LIVE ABOUT UP TO ONE MONTH. ALTHOUGH THE SMALL ONES CAN LIVE ABOUT ONE WEEK.
