Graduation Requirements You are ultimately responsible for earning the following credits: 4.0 Credits of English 4.0 Credits of Math 3.0 Credits of Science 3.5 Credits of Social Studies 0.5 Credit of Information Communication Technology (ICT) 1.5 Credits of Physical Education (Include Health) 6.5 Credits of Electives Proficiency on the Literature, Biology, Algebra 1 Keystone Exams. If you do not demonstrate proficiency on the test, then you will complete an alternate assessment.

Credit advancement and recovery If you need to make up credits that you previously failed: Summer School 2017 Franklin Virtual Academy If you want to get ahead: Credit advancement with teachers or other provider Must have pre-approval form for each class Work with individual teacher to determine cost, timeline, and requirements.

Scheduling Timeline Course selection will occur online through your student Sapphire account between March 6-10. You must have parent signatures on your course selection print-out and return to A313 by Friday March 31st. Be aware of any application deadlines for special programs (most by end of February). Use the Program of Studies to learn about each class (found online on CASHS webpage).

Senior Privilege Guidelines Application must be completed by the end of the school year. It is a PRIVILEGE. It can be revoked! You must be on track to graduate, passing all of your classes, have demonstrated keystone proficiency on all exams or completed compass. You can not owe any detention time or receive any suspensions. AM and PM options. You can not leave in the middle of the day! You must provide a constructive reason for SP. NOTE: Student Athletes – you must be scheduled and passing at least 4.0 credits during your season.

College credit opportunities College in the High School – HACC Human Anatomy Must complete English and Math placement exam, as well as an application with HACC. Dual Enrollment/Early to college Take classes at a college campus for high school and college credit. Students/families are responsible for all costs associated with the course. Application and class selection procedures: You must follow the college’s protocol for special admissions instructions (application/information forms available from your counselor and on our website). Local options include: Penn State Mont Alto, Shippensburg University, and Wilson College. SATs may be required by the College/University for admission. Work with your school counselor to determine graduation requirements and senior year schedule at CASHS.

AP and IB Classes Check out the full list of AP classes Summer assignment completion is required by the JULY 27th deadline. IF you do not complete the assignment by the due date, then you will be removed from the class. International Baccalaureate (IB) classes: Work with your School Counselor and Miss Michael to determine your IB schedule

Co-Operative Education (Co-Op) Remember: Options Include: Applications must be completed by February 24th Interviews will be in March 2017. Teacher recommendations If you start in the fall, you must make the commitment to complete year-long. Morning or afternoon options Must work at least 15 hours a week Must have co-op at least 3 periods a day Reliable transportation is key! Employability Skills Class is required! Accounting Animal Sciences Animal shelter, vet office, therapeutic riding. Automotive Industry Criminal Justice/Law Elementary or Secondary Education Pre-K, elementary, middle school, high school Healthcare Chambersburg Hospital NEW: Turf grass management (Parks & Rec) ..or create your own based on your career interest!

Co-Operative Education Cont. Health Career Institute (HCI) Must complete applications by: Friday, Feb. 24th. Summer or Fall 2017 program Fall program is periods 1&2 for the fall semester Patriot Federal Credit Union Must complete application by Friday, March 31st. Training will occur in summer 2017. You will work at Patriot Federal Credit Union during 4th period everyday. You can work additional hours at local branch. If you want to complete the hours for credit, then you can participate in the Co-op program. COSTA Academy Must complete application by Wednesday, February 15th. Work with Chefs from The Orchards to train in the Culinary Arts

Tiny Trojan Lab: (Child Development) Interested in working with pre-school aged kids at CASHS? You must complete Child Development 1&2 (or have pre-approval to take Child Development 2 at the same time) See Mrs. Finucane for an application if you are interested!

Waivers PIAA: If you participated in a sport in grade 10 or 11, then you can submit a PIAA waiver (ONLY submit ONCE) for 0.5 credit of PE JROTC: If you participated in a JROTC class, then you can submit a JROTC waiver (ONLY submit ONCE) for 0.5 credit of PE You can only use 1 waiver—EITHER PIAA or JROTC—NOT both!
