History SB1456 – Student Success Act of 2012 Repurpose Matriculation bill of 1986 Focus on the Core of Student Support Services Orientation, Assessment, Education planning and follow-up services Completion is the goal Funding with much more accountability

Student Success Act of 2012 Mandatory new student onboarding: orientation, assessment and education plan = priority registration/enrollment Must have a major or specific education goal by 15 units or before the completion of the third semester or a registration hold may be placed By Fall 2016 students student maintain good academic standing in order to be awarded the Board of Governors Fee Waiver.
