Impact of Dropping a Course Beginning of School Until One Week After First Quarter Report Cards: No academic record on transcript No impact on GPA After First Quarter Report Cards Until End of First Semester: ‘F’ penalty for the semester grade Semester grade recorded on transcript No credit awarded Half-attempt factored into GPA End of First Semester Until One Week After Second Quarter Report Cards: Impact of Dropping a Course All requests to drop must go through the Heritage High School Course Change Request Procedure to include: -Attempted Strategies for Success -Parent, Teacher, Counselor, Student Input and Communication -Approval by School Administrator -Process Facilitated by School Counselor -Space may be limited in other available classes
