HW Please write a MAD LIB Write a short story, minimum 10 sentences Leave 1 blank in a sentence. Draw a line to represent the blank space, write the type of word the blank represents. Ex. The girl ran a marathon. The girl ______ (verb, past tense) a marathon. HINT: Write the story first, then erase 1 word from each sentence.

Supplies 1 inch binder (with pockets) Loose leaf paper 3 dividers Notebook, either a composition notebook or a spiral notebook with holes. This notebook must be a minimum of 70 pages.

The Sentence A review

Activity Each group will receive a jumbled sentence. Put the sentence in order and write it down. You have 2 minutes. Pass the jumbled sentence to the next group and repeat the process. Put the sentences in the correct order to form a paragraph.

Components of a sentence Subject Person, place, thing, or idea that is acting in the sentence It is a noun Ex. The teacher, she, the singer, Mary
