Interactive risk assessment with the OiRA tool 1

Do good work and share it with people OiRA Free! 4x join use copy develop Do good work and share it with people anonymous Software + No costs, no comercial use, copy from other/existing tools and the library Modules available (psychosocial, maintenance, dangerous substances, environmental factors, machine safety, ageing workers….) The idea of open source Anonymous, always an important aspect for employers. No one has access to their data. Mention discussion with partners who wanted access to the data for research purposes. General statistics available, but no information about single users. OiRA is much more than a (risk assessment) software, guides the user, gives access to more information. In trainings we can see, how employers/responsable persons get engaged, start searching for more information etc.

EU-OSHA support for EU OiRA partners Free access to the OiRA tools generator All the information required to develop an OiRA tool Training for the developers of the tool Help desk support (for technical matters when developing the tools) Membership of the OiRA community (enabling partners to contribute to/ benefit from the tools and developments made by other members) Financial support for developing the EU OiRA tool (if required by EU social partners). EU-OSHA can sign a contract with a consultant / OSH expert to develop the content of the tool. Social partners will be involved in the process of developing the content and at the end they will validate the content.

Once the tools available, they will be: Hosted on EU-OSHA servers Accessible via EU-OSHA and the websites of social partners/ governments / public institutions Freely accessible to all MSEs (via any of the above websites)

Next steps Take a decision ! If interested in developing an OiRA tool. A meeting with Hotrec / Effat will be organised to discuss practical details like: Calendar The involvement of the social partners in the process of developing the content of the tool and the validation of the tool at the end of the project To build on an existing tool (the Belgian one) or to start from scratch ? Once all these issues have been clarified, the idea is to sign a memorandum between the Agency and Hotrec / Effat.

OiRA memorandum The main aim of this memorandum is: To underline the goals and the philosophy behind the OiRA project (open source, …) To clarify what the Agency is putting at the disposal of its OiRA partners To clarify the OiRA Partners´ commitment. The OiRA should be: Freely accessible for all who want to use it Kept updated The content will be shared with other partners involved in the OiRA project
