A New Approach to Benefits Administration Hi everyone. Thanks for joining us today. We know that University System of Georgia (or USG) benefits are important to you. They offer protection, peace of mind and comfort — and you want to make the most of them. USG is committed to offering quality benefits, as well as making it easy for you to use them. As a result, USG will soon introduce a new benefits administration system for employees and retirees. We recently distributed an email with information about the new benefits administration system. During today’s meeting, we’ll explain what this transition will mean for you. Let me start by reassuring you that your benefits and premiums are NOT changing as a result of the transition to the new benefits administration system. Information for USG Employees April 2017

What’s happening? So, what’s happening? As you know, USG is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive array of benefits for our employees and retirees. We know that USG benefits offer protection, peace of mind and comfort. Over the past several years, we’ve improved the quality and consistency of benefits offered across all USG institutions. However, we know you want more than just quality benefits — you also want easy, state-of-the-art tools to assist with benefit decisions, plus greater support through self-service and mobile options.

A unified approach to benefits administration Beginning June 26, 2017, USG benefits will be administered through the OneUSG Connect – Benefits system This work is part of the broader OneUSG initiative, which will pave the way for a new Human Resources information system (HRIS) and payroll system What’s staying the same Employees and retirees will continue to have the same array of quality benefits as today Benefits are not changing as a result of the transition On June 26, 2017, USG will introduce a new, higher quality, more consistent approach to benefits administration to all institutions across the state. As a result of the transition to the new OneUSG Connect – Benefits system, employees and retirees will be able to learn about and manage benefits through a new, robust, secure website, as well as a call center staffed with professional, well-trained representatives. This work has been in coordination with the OneUSG initiative, which will pave the way for a new Human Resources information system (HRIS) and payroll system, too. During today’s presentation, we’re focusing on the new benefits administration system. Again, let me reassure you, benefits are NOT changing as a result of this transition. You will continue to have the same array of quality benefits that you do today.

What this means for you Beginning June 26, you will have two new ways to access your benefits … Online: OneUSG Connect - Benefits website By phone: OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center No action needed now You will use the new website to enroll in your 2018 benefits during Open Enrollment this Fall Beginning June 26, you will be able to more easily manage, choose and use your benefits thanks to the new OneUSG Connect - Benefits website and OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center. Right now, there’s nothing you need to do. You will continue to have the benefits in which you are now enrolled. On June 26, we’ll send you information on how you can reach the new benefits website and call center. During the annual benefits Open Enrollment period coming up this fall, you will enroll for 2018 benefits through the OneUSG Connect - Benefits website. We’ll provide detailed information on how to enroll in your 2018 benefits before and during Open Enrollment.

OneUSG Connect - Benefits website Beginning June 26 OneUSG Connect - Benefits website You will be able to: Review current benefits coverage Make benefit changes due to a life status change (e.g., birth of a child, marriage) Find doctors, hospitals or other healthcare providers in the plan’s network Keep track of healthcare expenses (including deductibles, coinsurance and copayments) Contact insurance carriers and other benefit resources The new OneUSG Connect - Benefits website will make it easy for you to get benefits information whenever you would like. You can: Review current benefits coverage Make benefits changes due to a qualified life status change (for example, the birth of a child or a marriage) Find doctors, hospitals or other healthcare providers in your plan’s network Keep track of healthcare expenses (including deductibles, coinsurance and copayments) Contact insurance carriers and other benefit resources   You will be able to access the website directly through a link in our institution’s Human Resources and Payroll system. A word about security – Maintaining the privacy and security of your information is very important. The website uses the strongest available internet encryption methods — making it virtually impossible to be read by anyone on another system. All information is stored in a secure internet location. And, if there’s no activity on a webpage for an extended period of time, the website automatically logs off the user to ensure the safety of his or her personal information.

OneUSG Connect -Benefits Call Center Beginning June 26 OneUSG Connect -Benefits Call Center Toll-free: 1-844-5-USGBEN (1-844-587-4236) You can call to: Enroll in benefits and record life status changes Receive answers about eligibility Resolve technical issues Learn about benefit plans Receive help filing healthcare claims Get support with benefits coverage confirmation Beginning June 26, you will also have access to the OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center, which will be staffed with professional, well-trained representatives. The OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center can be reached from anywhere in the world, and translators will be available.

What’s ahead No action needed now June 26: OneUSG Connect - Benefits administration system goes live OneUSG Connect - Benefits website OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center As a reminder, there is nothing you need to do now. On June 26, we’ll send information on how you can reach the OneUSG Connect - Benefits website and the OneUSG Connect - Benefits Call Center. There will be no changes to your USG benefits or premiums as a result of the transition. So, what questions do you have? (Refer to the FAQ document to respond to employee questions.) Thanks for those questions. After today, if you have questions, you can always contact our HR office (or the USG Shared Service Center, if applicable). We’re excited about the new OneUSG Connect – Benefits system, and we can’t wait for you to use it, beginning June 26! Rest assured: Your benefits are not changing as a result of the transition to the new system

Thank you! Thank you for joining us today, and thank you for your service to our institution!
