Make known His Deeds Psalm 105

Make known His deeds (1-6) Give thanks to the Lord – always 1 Thess. 5:18, Phil. 4:6 Call upon His name – always (Turning to Him) Rom. 10:13, 1 Cor. 1:2 Acts 22:16

Make known His deeds (1-6) Make known His deeds – declare them to other! Do we want to tell others about God? - The Samaritan woman – John 4:28-30 - The blind man – John 9 - The lame man – Acts 3:8 Acts 8:4

Make known His deeds (1-6) It begins with our families! Deut. 4:9-10, 6:6-9, 11:18-21, Exodus 12:26-28, etc.

Make known His deeds (1-6) Sign psalms to Him – also teaching – Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16 Talk of all His wondrous works – not just preaching, but talking about Him. How often do our conversations involve God?

Make known His deeds (1-6) Glory in His holy name – speaking with hope and rejoicing First, do it yourself – consider His goodness and grace (cf. Rom. 6:1-12) Second, do it before others – Gal. 6:14

Make known His deeds (1-6) Seek the Lord – we need to be looking for Him! 1 John 4:19, Col. 3:1-2, Matt. 6:33 Seek His strength and His face evermore

Make known His deeds (1-6) Remember His marvelous works! His wonders and judgments – Our trust in Him is not without foundation. Physically, Israel had seen the powers of God continually. The rest of our psalm demonstrates this!

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) He is the Lord our God (7) – OUR God! Personal! Who is YOUR God? He judges ALL the earth! There is only ONE true God! (7)

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) He remembers His covenant (8) – forever. Other gods cannot do this – cf. Isa. 41:21-24 Our God has proven Himself!

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) He covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (9-12) – everlasting – Genesis 12:1-3, 15:4-6, 26:3-5, 28:13-15 Promised when few in number and they were strangers.

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) He protected them until the promise (13-15) – In Egypt – Genesis 12:9-20 - Gerar – Genesis 20, 26

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) He protected them from corruption in the land (16-25) – Famine – Genesis 41, 42 - Joseph sold – Gen. 37:18 - Imprisoned – Gen. 39:20-23 - until the time (19) – he was set over Pharaoh's house (20-22) – Gen. 41:40-41

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) Protected in the wilderness (39-41) - - Cloud by day, pillar of fire by night - Ex. 13:21-22 - Quail & manna Ex. 16:6-16 - Water Ex. 17:1-7

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) Why? (42-45) - - He remembered His promise with Abraham Ex. 2:24 - There was rejoining in their salvation - Ex. 14:20-21, 15: - Given the land of the Gentiles – Josh. 11:23, 21:44-4

He remembers His Covenant (7-45) Why? (42-45) – So that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws! God made it possible to obey Him! He provided everything they needed and could not do for themselves!

God’s plan for us! We can learn from Israel of old (Rom. 15:4) God has made many promises to us if we will remain faithful to Him – salvation, prayer, protection, and ultimately heaven! Romans 8:28-38

God’s plan for us! How do we know God can keep all that He has promised to us? Read Psalm 105!!!!
