Reminders Important Dates Learning Focus Math Reading Religion Science We have survived our first quarter! Students are off to a great start. I am very pleased with everything that we have accomplished. Please take the time to talk to your child about the importance of being responsible. I have high expectations of every single one of my students, because I believe that they are capable of accomplishing all of their academic goals. Mrs. Villaseñor Reminders Important Dates Please make sure that you are checking your child’s homework daily. I check homework daily, and I will not give full points for incomplete work Reading log summaries needs to be in paragraph form, and it should be 2 paragraphs. Students need to be reading AR books daily. Low scores on their test affects their reading grade. Please help your child by asking him/her comprehension questions Students need to continue practicing multiplication facts 0-5. 11/7: No School-Professional Development 11/10: Honor Roll- 2: 00 p.m. 11/11: No School-Veteran’s Day 11/13: Mandatory Family Mass 11/21: Rosary and Thanskgiving Feast 11/22: No School: Parent Conferences 11/23: Early Dismissal 11/24-11/25: No School-Thanksgiving Learning Focus Math Graphs, surveys, median, mean, mode Double digit addition with regrouping Reading Read grade level text with purpose and understanding Know spelling sound correspondences for additional vowel teams Understand key details in a text.
