NATIONAL WALKING MONTH - MAY It is recommended by the Chief Medical Officer that adults do a minimum of 150 minutes of physical activity a week. Walking is a free, easy and fun way to improve your health and doing just 20 minutes a day will easily get you on your way to that 150 minute target. you don’t have to go out of your way to exercise; simply walk more you can just change your daily commute, park your car further out or skip a stop on public transport.

Walking Challenge Take a pack of pedometers and try these ideas to clock up the steps by walking 20 minutes extra each day. Walk to meet your friends for a coffee Break up the day with a lunchtime walk Get out of the office with a walking meeting Discover your local area with a walkabout Walk your kids to school everyday Get snap happy and tag yourself on Facebook or Twitter with #GetWalesWalking
