Materials Needed for Class? Math Journal (must be graph ruled or can be a spiral notebook) Student will need at least 2-3 notebook for the year 1- 1 or 1.5 inch 3 ring binder Calculator (scientific (Ti-30 series) Pencils (no mechanical pencils) Colored pencils/pen for corrections Protractor for home/class use

Grading & Homework Your student's grade in math will reflect what they understand 80% Summative – Unit tests,Finals, Trimester Final, Unit Project, Unit Tests - One retake per trimester 20% Formative - assessment that takes place while learning is still active. Homework Checks - CheckIns (taken directly from practice assignments; - Quizzes (partial credit can be retrieved) - In-Class/Group Projects Practice problems ("homework") still assigned and still expected to be completed. Similar problems to homework will be given during homework checks.

Family Access Grades will be updated weekly by the 3rd week of each trimester If you do not have internet access please let me know Have your child check their grades weekly ‘Zero’ Assignment grade could mean assignments are missing. Have your child check their schedule for login information for Skyward.
