Purpose provide a pathway for students to work towards obtaining the Dogwood Certificate maintain students’ connection with their school
EXPECTATIONS attend at a rate of 90% work independently complete one course every 6 weeks
Referral Process referred by a counselor or Administrator through a Resource Team meeting
Intake Process the Alternate Education teacher will contact the parent/guardian for an intake meeting Both student and parent are expected to attend the intake meeting prior to the student attending classes.
Art 11/12: Drawing and Painting Courses Grade 10 A & W Math 10 Science 10 Social Studies 10 English 10 PE 10 Planning 10 Grade 11 and 12 A & W Math 11 Earth Science 11 Social Studies 11 Communications 11 Communications 12 Grad Transition 12 Electives Fam Studies 11 Fam Studies 12 Art 11/12: Drawing and Painting Law 12 student will be able to obtain credits for 16 of the 20 required courses remaining 4 course credits must be obtained through electives work experience (WEx12) an ACE-IT program or SSA arranged through Career Prep staff
