Every Artist Matters Our palette of differentiation strategies includes some of our core strategies to assist our planning for inclusion. Tasks Use questioning techniques and employ higher order questions. Reduce or allow more time to complete a task. Set graduated tasks with a range of challenge. Provide a choice of tasks. We believe that every child in every class is a unique artist who has much to offer and the ability to engage in the creative process. We believe It is our role to help our artists find their areas of strength and support them in their creative journey. We believe that it is the right of all of our artists to be taught in a way specifically tailored to their learning needs and this underpins everything we do in every lesson. Grouping Mixed ability grouping to ensure all students feel supported. G and T students to lead. Support Team teaching- to provide increased opportunity for feedback and viewpoints to extend, challenge and support TAs are briefed on the SOL and content of the lesson. A collaborative approach to T and L to increase capacity for TA support. Buddy System for students- pairing to assist, encourage and challenge. Key words provided for every SOL and given to students at beginning of all topics. Differentiated feedback when marking to individual target setting Resources Use ‘Aim for the Stars’ booklet to extend gifted and talented. Carousel of activities which encourage students to use different learning styles. Differentiated tasks for all lessons. Use a variety of question and answer techniques to support, extend and challenge.
