Crisis Impacts on the Slovak Economy I Q 2009 data Slovak economy: decline of GDP by 5,6 %, unemployment rate amounts to 10,3 %, drop of export by 28,6 % Industries: fall of production in automobile industry by 41,6 %, metallurgy by 33,5%, engineering by o 32 %, industry employment decreased by 38 thous. persons TCI: fall of production by 16 %; decrease of employees by 5 thous. persons (the same number as in 2008 in total) Bratislava 18.6.2009
