NewMind Network Technology to transform mental health care Funded by EPSRC Partnership with MindTech NIHR Health Technology Co-operative NewMind Objectives build EPS community engaged with mental health, to understand needs of service users & healthcare professionals envision technology intervention scenarios identify underpinning EPS research challenges develop new research collaborations

Network Status Start date June 2014 328 signed-up members (142 actively engaged) 192 EPS & MH researchers (39 HEIs) 36 clinicians, 9 non-clinical NHS 37 industry members (26 companies) 23 mental health charities/user group members (17 organisations) 27 mental health service users 4 funders, 5 network support Research roadmap published & refreshed Plus funding June 2016 Feasibility study support

NewMind Plus Awarded February 2016 Runs June 2016 – May 2019 Research funding of £360,000 must be EPS research up to 12 exploratory projects @ £15k up to four further feasibility projects @ £45k Project proposals developed through network activities must be initiated at a sandpit event
